Mahakumbh: A Sacred Journey by Twisha Ray

The waves of Ganga sing an old song,
A tale of Kumbh, where faith stands strong.
Devas churned the ocean deep,
For nectar divine, a boon to keep.
But demons, too, had plans so sly,
Hiding their greed in a cunning lie.
Vishnu, in disguise, played a game,
Four drops fell, and the world lit aflame.
Haridwar, Prayagraj, Ujjain, Nashik bright,
Became the lands of sacred light.
Thus began a tradition grand,
Where Mahakumbh unites the land.
The Story of the Past
Once upon a time, in heaven’s tide,
Gods and demons stood side by side.
Churning the sea with hopes so high,
For nectar pure, none could deny.
Vishnu, the savior, tricked them all,
Hiding amrit in drops so small.
Four sacred places on earth received,
A blessing divine, in faith believed.
At these sites, the Kumbh is blessed,
A holy dip to cleanse and rest.
Every twelve years, Mahakumbh calls,
Saints and sages walk its halls.
Mahakumbh 2025
Now again, the time is near,
Prayagraj will shine this year.
Mahakumbh 2025 unfolds,
A tale of devotion, new yet old.
Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma’s grace,
Ganga’s touch, a sacred embrace.
A seed of faith begins to bloom,
Filling hearts, dispelling gloom.
From far and wide, the seekers come,
Yogis, monks, and saints as one.
Devotees chant in voices deep,
As waves of Ganga softly weep.
The Significance of Mahakumbh
It’s more than a fair, it’s a sign of time,
A beacon of faith, in rhythm and rhyme.
Every grain of sand here tells,
A story where divinity dwells.
A journey of soul, a path to peace,
Where worldly worries find release.
Sages in silence, wisdom impart,
Teaching the ways of a pure heart.
Poets sing of Krishna’s play,
Of Ram’s exile, and Hanuman’s way.
Here, every corner hums a song,
Of faith and love, ancient and strong.
Chariots and Processions
Here, processions grand unfold,
Chariots of sadhus, tales retold.
Flags held high in vibrant hues,
Devotion lights up sacred views.
Akhadas march in robes so bright,
Guiding souls to truth’s pure light.
Dharma flows in every stream,
A timeless faith, a sacred dream.
A tradition old, yet young at heart,
Where culture and devotion start.
A place where past and present meet,
In prayers sung, in fires sweet.
A Day at Kumbh
Before the dawn, a crowd appears,
With hopes to cleanse their sins and fears.
Bells from temples fill the air,
Chanting voices, sacred prayer.
Sadhus, saints, and families stand,
Seeking blessings, hand in hand.
The sun reflects on waters bright,
A canvas painted with holy light.
Some sing praises of Lord Shiva,
Some recount Krishna’s divine saga.
Some read scriptures, deep and vast,
Echoing wisdom from the past.
The Message of Mahakumbh
Mahakumbh is not just a place,
But a lesson in love, in divine grace.
Whoever comes with heart sincere,
Leaves with a soul shining clear.
A call to rise, to purify,
To seek the truth beyond the sky.
A journey of faith, a bridge to peace,
Where all illusions slowly cease.
Let this be a tale to tell,
Of faith that in all hearts dwells.
From sacred waters, let us rise,
With wisdom deep, and open eyes.
Final Reflections
Look into Ganga’s mirror deep,
Where every soul finds peace to keep.
Her waves sing hymns of love so pure,
A sacred touch, a healing cure.
See the sages lost in thought,
Lessons of time in silence taught.
Mahakumbh shines, a beacon bright,
A path of faith, a guiding light.
So walk the shores with mindful grace,
Let faith and love take their place.
In Mahakumbh’s sacred tide,
Let your soul in peace reside.
Har Har Gange!
Mahakumbh: Ek Pavitra Safar
Gangaji ki lahrein boli, suna ek purana geet,
Kumbh ka itihas hai anokha, bhakti se bhara preet.
Devon ne amrit ka manthan kiya, nikla ek anmol ras,
Par asur bhi the chatur, chhupaya unhone bhi vishwas.
Vishnu ne chhal kiya sundar, chaar sthanon pe gira amrit,
Haridwar, Prayagraj, Ujjain, Nashik, jagmagaya dharm ka mitr.
Tab se chala ek parampara, jisme snan hai mukti ka dwar,
Mahakumbh ka mela lagta hai, bhakton ka jahan sansar.
Itihas ki kahani
Sagar manthan hua ek din, dev-asur ke beech tha yudh,
Amrit paane ki thi chahat, har koi chahta tha shudh.
Vishnu bane Mohini roop, asuron ko diya ek dhokha,
Chaar boondein chhupi dharti par, ban gaya ek pavitra kotha.
Chaaro dham pavitra kahe jayein, yahan lagta hai shuddh snan,
Paap mitaye, punya badhaye, milti hai Hari ki pehchan.
Har barah saal mahakumbh aaye, chhote kumbh chhata saal,
Sadhuganon ka sangam hota, divya aarti ka banta haal.
Aaj ka Mahakumbh (2025)
Ab fir aayi hai shubh ghadi, Prayagraj ka snan mahakumbh,
2025 ka hai yeh mela, jisme milega prem anupam.
Shiv, Vishnu, Brahma ki mahima, ganga ka hai amrit jal,
Aastha ka beej jo uga diya, bhakton ka ho uthkar hall.
Duniya bhar se log chale aaye, ramte yogi, nagayogi,
Bhakt, tapasvi, rishi-muni, aur bhajan gaate bhagvat jogi.
Na koi bhed, na koi vyavadhan, sab ek hai ganga kinare,
Sanskriti ki mahima dekho, bhaav bhakti ke sundar tare.
Mahakumbh ka Mahatva
Yeh sirf ek mela nahi, ek yugon ka sanket hai,
Yahan ka har ek kan kan, divyata ka ek hetu hai.
Aatma ki shuddhi, man ki shanti, prarthna ka yeh mod hai,
Sansaar ki maya ko chhodkar, ek alokik bhav tod hai.
Sanyasi ke dhyan se sikho, tapasya ka arth kya hai,
Sadhuon ki kathayein suno, bhakti ka swaroop kya hai.
Kaviyon ki rachnayein padho, bhagwan ki leelaon ka geet,
Yahan har kona hai pavitra, har shabd hai ek anokha preet.
Rath Yatra aur Katha
Yahan hoti hai shobha yatra, rath chad kar sadhu chalen,
Jisme ganga ki mahima gaai jaye, aur vishwas ke deep jalen.
Akharon ke mahamandaleshwar, dhwaj uthakar chalen aage,
Har ek akhada dikhaye mahima, bhakti ke hain yeh aagey waade.
Dharm aur sanskriti ki ganga, behti hai har kadam,
Yeh hai bharat ki anmol dharohar, jisme bhakti hai sada madhyam.
Ek samay jo prachin tha, aaj bhi wahi jyoti hai,
Mahakumbh ka yeh paavan mela, ek amrit ki moti hai.
Kumbh ka Ek Din
Bhor hone se pehle hi, ganga kinare hoti bhiड़,
Har koi chahta hai snan karna, paana moksh aur preet.
Mandiron se bajti ghantiyan, bhajan gaate hain sant,
Vedic mantra gungunate hain, hota hai shuddh abhivand.
Sadhu, sanyasi, grihasth aur balak,
Sab milkar prarthna karein,
Surya dev ka tej bhi dekho,
Sanskriti ke rang bharein.
Kahi Shiv bhakton ki dhun hai,
Kahi Vishnu ka gungaan,
Kahi pe vedon ki paathshala,
Kahi milte hain Ram naam.
Mahakumbh ka Sandesh
Mahakumbh bas ek mela nahi, ek jeevan ka marg hai,
Jo chala yahan se pavitra hokar, uska sukh anant hai.
Manushya ka yeh dharm hai, prem aur bhakti ka raah,
Ganga ki lehron se suno, yeh sansaar hai ek prashn.
Jo bhi aaye yahan, woh apna mann shuddh kare,
Dukh sukh sab bhool jaaye, prem aur shanti dhare.
Ek nayi kahani likhi jaaye, ek naye yug ka ho prarambh,
Mahakumbh ke snan se aaye, ek naye bharat ka abhivriddh.
Antim Vichar
Ganga ke darpan me dekho, jo bhi aaya nirmal ho,
Snan ke is jal se dekho, har jeevan ek amal ho.
Sadhuon ki tapasya dekho, bhakt ka vishwas dekho,
Mahakumbh ke is mahotsav me, dharm ka ek prakash dekho.
Chalein sab milkar is yog me, dharm aur satya ko samjhein,
Mahakumbh ke paavan mela me, ek naye bhaav ko angikarein.
Chalein ganga ki lehron me, dukh sukh sab visraayein,
Mahakumbh ka yeh avsar aaye, hriday me prem jagayein.
Har Har Gange!
